New report focuses on new jobs expected as part of bio-industry

Consultations with local companies about current and future workforce needs was part of the process for creating the document

The Sarnia Lambton Workforce Development Board, a local organization intent on providing current actionable statistics on trends useful to both employers and job seekers, has produced a report that gives an overview of the emerging bio-industry in the region.

Laura Greaves, who serves as executive director of the SLWDB, said the report aims to identify the types of jobs that will be created or required by the bio-industry sector as well as the education, experience and skill sets required to fill those jobs.

She also thanked the local bio-industrial businesses who provided their time and expertise in order to help inform the report.

The report can be accessed (it’s in PDF format) by clicking HERE.
