Scott Manery & Barnburners to be featured at upcoming First Friday

February 5 event will be in-store at Cheeky Monkey

Scott Manery and the Barnburners will be featured at the Cheeky Monkey at the February 5 First Friday event in Sarnia.

Cheeky Monkey, Sarnia’s downtown records and more store, is thrilled to present Scott Manery & The Barnburners for the February 5 First Friday live in-store from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Known far and wide, on both sides of the border as one of Southwestern Ontario’s best “Honky Tonk Rockabilly” bands, The Barnburners have been tearing up the scene for over 11 years.  They are the only band to perform at Sarnia’s premier outdoor festival, Bayfest for five years.  They’ve opened for world class headliners Brooks and Dunn, Toby Keith, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Lee Brice, The Roadhammers, Gord Bamford and The Good Brothers to name a few.

The current line-up of Scott Manery on lead guitar and vocals, Dave Scarlett on upright bass and Brian Cox on drums, will be playing brand new music from their forthcoming CD “Believe Me, When I Lie To You.” As well they’ll be playing all your favourite songs from the previous three foot stompin’ albums, “Tractorcaster,” “Green Tractors” and “Sparkle & Twang.”

Don’t miss your chance to see one of the areas most entertaining and energetic bands in an up-close, intimate setting! Keep an eye out for the new CD due in the spring at Cheeky Monkey, 130 Christina Street North.  Three previous releases available now in store or at for mail orders for the out of town fans.
