J.D. Booth, our Publisher/Editor, has extensive experience in journalism and corporate communications. A resident of the Sarnia area since 1985, he has worked in industry and media. He was the founding editor and principal writer for a business oriented magazine between 2002 and 2006.
While Lambton Shield has “history” behind the name (it began as a weekly newspaper in 1852, edited by Alexander Mackenzie, who would become Canada’s second prime minister), today’s Lambton Shield is modern in every respect.
First of all, we’re online only. Being electronic gives us the immediacy, flexibility and economics to put our resources into local news gathering, providing information that is going to be of enduring interest to the communities we serve – Lambton County and Sarnia.
By appealing to readers, we’ll appeal to advertisers, who will want to forge relationships with their customers. In short, the more time readers spend with us, the better it will be for advertisers.
Lambton Shield promises to be an honest broker of news and information for our readers, a respected source. Advertisers can count on us to provide a unique platform for communicating their messages to their prospects and customers.
We hope you’ll find (as a reader and possibly an advertiser) Lambton Shield to be a place you’ll visit often. If we can be of help in any way, don’t hesitate to contact us:
