If results of an independent survey that evaluates Ontario's 24 community college is any indication, Lambton College is going a good job training students for the workforce.
The Key Performance Indicator (KPI) numbers show that the Sarnia college ranks first in the province in the category of employer satisfaction with nearly 96 per cent of employers saying they were “satisfied or very satisfied” with graduates from Lambton.
“We are very pleased with the KPI results,” said Dr. Tony Hanlon, President & CEO, Lambton College. “These numbers simply prove that students are receiving high quality education at Lambton and we are thrilled with how their skills and expertise are being received in the workplace.”
In addition to Employer Satisfaction, Lambton also ranked above the provincial average in all other categories including Student Satisfaction (78.9%), Graduate Satisfaction (80.4%), Graduate Employment Rate (86.4%) and Graduation Rate (66.0%).
The college surpassed numbers from last year in all but one category.
The exception being the graduation rate which fell more than two points from 68.4% to 66%
