New paediatrician joins professional staff at Bluewater Health

Dr. Adenike Aladetoyinbo says she saw 'much collaboration' prior to making decision to come to Sarnia-Lambton

Dr. Adenike Aladetoyinbo, a paediatrician, has joined the professional staff at Bluewater Health.

Bluewater Health has a new paediatrician on its professional staff.

Dr. Adenike Aladetoyinbo completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Ilorin, in
Nigeria, followed by a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and a Diploma in Child Health at the Royal College of Surgeons in
Ireland.

She also completed a Masters in Public Health at Walden University in Minneapolis. Prior to moving to Sarnia,
Dr. Aladetoyinbo practiced paediatrics at Saint John Regional Hospital in Saint John, New Brunswick. She was also an
assistant professor of Paediatrics with Dalhousie University in Halifax and Memorial University of Newfoundland.

“My site visit to Sarnia-Lambton gave me the impression of an area where there is much collaboration,” said Dr.
Aladetoyinbo. “I am proud to serve the residents here.”

“Paediatricians are in high demand across the country, and I am delighted that Dr. Aladetoyinbo has joined the Maternal
Infant Child program here,” said Dr. Mike Haddad, chief of professional staff. “An additional paediatriciann will allow
Bluewater Health to increase access to healthcare services throughout the community and reduce wait times, especially
in the area of children’s mental health and developmental challenges.”

Dr. Aladetoyinbo is accepting patients.
