Bluewater Health is pleased to announce that Dr. Obioma Ozumba, Psychiatrist, Dr. Adeola Adesanya, Hospitalist, Dr. Mark Mousseau, Hospitalist, Dr. Laura Allen, Obstetrician/Gynaecologist, Dr. Chinyere Iwuala, Internist, and Dr. Dhiraj Dhanjani, Urologist, have joined its Professional Staff.
Dr. Ozumba completed his medical degree at The University of Nigeria and his Residency training in Psychiatry at the National University of Ireland (Galway). Prior to moving to Sarnia, Dr. Ozumba was practicing child and adolescent and general adult psychiatry in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He has also served as an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at Dalhousie University and Memorial University of Newfoundland. “Bluewater Health’s emphasis on excellence and exemplary patient and family healthcare experience as well as the opportunity to contribute to the provision of mental health services for children and adolescents made the choice of Bluewater Health somewhat easy,” said Dr. Ozumba. “I have been impressed by the constant efforts made by its executive team to educate staff on the ‘Promise to Emily’ and most importantly constantly strive to support them in ensuring that this promise is fulfilled at every level of the organization.”
Dr. Adesanya completed her medical degree at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and her postgraduate training at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Ibadan. Nigeria, and Memorial University of Newfoundland. “I have chosen to come and work at Bluewater Health, Sarnia because I’ve been made to feel welcome and well appreciated for my services,” said Dr. Adesanya. “The work environment is conducive, the people are warm and the hospital also promotes diversity which is another plus. It seems to me that a commonwealth of nations is working together in unity here.”
Dr. Mousseau completed his medical degree at the University of Toronto, and his family medicine residency at Western University.
Dr. Allen completed both her medical degree and her residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Western Ontario. “I choose to work in Sarnia because I have always liked the city in terms of the size and location, the wonderful weather and the hospital is modern, well equipped and the staff are kind and dedicated to their work,” said Dr. Allen. “The group of OB/GYNs here have been welcoming and have helped me transition to moving to a new city and getting my practice off the ground. I’m excited for the years to come.”
Dr. Iwuala completed her medical degree at the University of Nigeria, Enugu State, Nigeria, and her residency in Internal Medicine at Dalhousie University. “I was drawn to Bluewater Health on my initial visit, in the role of an observer supporting a spouse; the solid organization and strategic plans behind the hospital services were quite impressive,” said Dr. Iwuala. “The staff were very welcoming. The town, Sarnia, has beautiful blue water, beaches and excellent schools for the kids. I knew I could call this place home!”
Dr. Dhanjani completed his medical degree, Urology residency and Clinical Fellowship in Endourology and Advanced Laparoscopy at the University of Toronto. “I was attracted to the expertise, collegiality, and state-of-the-art resources at Bluewater Health,” said Dr. Dhanjani. “My wife and I also are excited to raise our family in the beautiful and welcoming Sarnia community.”

Drs. Adesanya and Mousseau have assisted us in expanding our hospitalist program, Dr. Iwuala adds to our complement of internists supporting the medical needs of our population, and with the addition of Dr. Ozumba, we can increase the mental health support provided for our children and adolescents. With the addition of Dr. Dhanjani, we are continuing to provide excellent urology services, and Dr. Allen adds to our complement of obstetrician/gynaecologists.”
