Bob Bailey says a PC government will be a friend to small business

Sarnia-Lambton MPP Bob Bailey

Sarnia Lambton MPP Bob Bailey has announced the release of an initiative of Tim Hudak and the Ontario PC Party to protect and strengthen small business in Ontario.

The ‘Small Business Bill of Rights’ was developed by listening to the real concerns of business owners, chamber of commerce members and municipal leaders at roundtable events across the province, including one in Sarnia last year.
“Small businesses are a source not only of jobs and opportunity, but also the innovation, hard work and risk-taking that are essential to a strong and modern economy,” said Bailey. “However, I’ve spoken with many local business owners who tell me that the outrageous costs and red-tape put in place by the McGuinty government is threatening the livelihood of their business. Just yesterday one local owner told me that his hydro bill has increased by tens of thousands of dollars because of time-of-use pricing and the debt retirement charge.”
Bailey says Premier Dalton McGuinty's tax hikes, red tape and energy experiments have crippled the ability of small business to grow and create jobs.
