Bob McCarthy, prolific publisher, has released another jewel

Latest work—Burrow of Guernsey—was launched Oct. 29 at Sarnia Christian School

Bob McCarthy, a retired local school teacher who taught at Alexander Mackenzie for many years, has spent a good deal of his retirement telling stories as an author.

The latest in a long line of books he has authored is “Burrow of Guernsey,” a book he says was written to be “suitable for young readers and/or for parents/grandparents to read to their children/grandchildren.”

The cover painting was by a local artist, Sandra Rice, and the drawings at the beginning of each chapter were created by students from Sarnia Christian School.

McCarthy  has booked several readings and signings, including:

—November 9 at Point Edward Library, 1 p.m.

—November 15 at the Book Keeper, Northgate West, 7 p.m.

—November 23, Mall Road Library, 2:30 p.m.
