Canada Day parade to be ‘live-streamed’

Local Internet broadcaster says free service could be boon to shut-ins

A local Internet broadcaster whose weekly video production has been part of the media landscape in Sarnia for several years is now expanding his reach through “live streaming” of events like the Canada Day parade.

David Burrows, whose “The Show” can be seen on his website as well as Lambton Shield, will have video camera on hand for what he says is a “first ever” Internet broadcast of the popular Canada Day parade.

“This is a great opportunity for people who either aren’t able to get out to enjoy the festivities, or for people who may be out of town but want to see the parade,” said Burrows, who is spending his birthday (he was born on July 1) “spreading the joy.”
