Canadian Cancer Society is making the ‘Real for Life’ invitation

June 14 event will take place at Clearwater Arena Park

The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life Sarnia brings together those in our community who are united by the same goal of creating a world where no Canadian fears cancer. This fundraising event is also an opportunity to celebrate those who live and have lived in the face of cancer and those who are moving past cancer.

Last year, more than 12,000 cancer survivors across the country and 125 in Sarnia joined Relay For Life and took part in the Survivor’s Victory Lap. This victory lap provides an opportunity for survivors to thank those who helped them through their cancer journey, to give hope to those currently in treatment and to be part of a caring community of people who have all been touched by cancer.

The Canadian Cancer Society is inviting all cancer survivors in Sarnia-Lambton to participate in the inspirational first lap of Relay For Life Sarnia on June 14 at 6 p.m. at Clearwater Arena Park, 1400 Wellington St, Sarnia.

By taking part in Relay For Life as a survivor, donor, volunteer and/or fundraising team, you show the people affected by cancer in our community that they’re not alone. Money raised will help fund ground-breaking research as well as essential support services for local people living with cancer and their families.

The Canadian Cancer Society believes that no one diagnosed with cancer should have to face it alone. We’re the only national charitable organization located in over 70 communities, with support services reaching more Canadians than ever before. So join us at Relay For Life and help us continue our life-saving work. And together, we can prove that life is bigger than cancer.
