Can’t we all just get along? Sarnia Police respond to incidents of fighting roommates and former partners

Sarnia Police responded to two separate incidents on Wednesday February 27, 2013, one involving former roommates and the other being a domestic situation.

In the first case, two individuals, a man and a woman, were walking in the 500 block of Confederation Street around 10:15 a.m. when another man arrived and allegedly assaulted his former roommate, inflicting cuts, bruising and swelling to the victim's face and head. The victim also received a sprained wrist during the occurrence.  

The man, when he was arrested around 1 p.m., was allegedly found to be carrying a knife for which charges were added.

In the second incident, a 26-year-old Petrolia man, upset over the breakup of a relationship, now faces a charge of mischief over $5,000 after he allegedly smashed into a car belonging to his former common law spouse. That incident occurred in the 900 block of Exmouth Street.
