Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting on the near horizon

Logo - Sarnia Lambton Chamber of CommerceThis year the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce 2012 Annual General Meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn on February 13, 2013 and feature the guest speaker Dr. Warren Jestin, Chief Economist, Scotiabank, presenting on “New World Rising.”

The Chamber’s annual general meeting (commonly abbreviated as AGM) is a meeting that involves the full membership and is required by the Chamber’s Bylaws. An AGM is held every year to elect the board of directors and inform members of previous and future activities of the Chamber. It is also the opportunity to recognize the contributions made by those board members retiring, committees and our member volunteers.

At the AGM, the membership receives copies of the company's accounts as well as reviews fiscal information for the past year and has an opportunity to ask questions regarding the directions the business will take in the future.

The AGM is also a service and benefit to Chamber members, it is a social event that offers members the chance to socialize with friends and colleagues and network with new acquaintances. This combined with an opportunity to connect with the Chamber leadership and share fellowship over finger foods and drinks.

Plan on being at our AGM and be fully engaged as a member of the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce. Please RSVP to Cindy Scholten by February 8, 2013 at [email protected] .
