Chamber ‘Road Trip’ begins next week

Business group taking its consultation process on the road, beginning June 7 in Petrolia

The Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce, headed by new CEO Shirley de Silva, is embarking on a consultation process that it’s calling, appropriately enough, “Road Trip 2016.”

The initiative, which begins Tuesday, June 7 at Petrolia’s Victoria Playhouse (8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.), will also include a visit to the headquarters of LiUNA Local 1089—the Labourer’s International Union North America—on Friday, June 10. LiUNA is located at 1255 Confederation Street and the consultation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Chamber staff will also be at the Bayside Centre on Tuesday, June 14 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and at the Corunna Legion (350 Albert St.) on Thursday, June 16 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

The final “Road Trip” stops will be on Tuesday, June 21 at John’s Restaurant (1643 London Line) from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and Thursday, June 23 in Forest.

More information on the Road Trip 2016 program is available by calling the Chamber office at (519) 336-2400. Comments on the process, including for those who aren’t able to attend any of the consultation sessions, can be e-mailed to
