City looking to federal program for support in arena upgrades, public library improvements and Norm Perry Park artificial turf projects

A new Community Infrastructure Fund announced by MP Pat Davidson on July 5 has city of Sarnia officials hopeful some of the money could be used to help with several projects on the table.

The installation of artificial turf at the Norm Perry Park could be one of those.

In addition, arena updates and public library upgrades and improvements may be also areas where the city reaches out for help.

A letter of support from Sarnia City Council would be required before application can be made. Councillors will consider the request at their regular Monday meeting (July 16).
