County, City partner on charging stations

Dozen units reserved for power wheelchair or scooter users are part of pilot project

The City of Sarnia and County of Lambton are participating in a pilot project involving a dozen publicly available charge stations for power wheelchair or scooter users at locations in Sarnia and Point Edward.

  • Designated electrical outlets have been changed to a blue colour and identified with signage at the following locations:
  • Bayside Centre
  • Bright’s Grove Library
  • Canatara Park
  • Germain Park
  • Centennial Park
  • Lambton Public Health
  • Lambton Shared Services Centre
  • Mall Road Library
  • Sarnia City Hall
  • Sarnia Library
  • Strangway Centre
  • Tecumseh Park

Officials say they will be evaluating the program, with the possibility of the service being expanded to various public sector locations throughout the County.
