Dillon, William “Bill” Edward – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, William (Bill) Dillon, age 86 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, Ontario on Saturday July 28th, with his family at his side. Father to John (Jack) Dillon of Sarnia, Kathleen & (Barry) Mogk of Petrolia, Geoffrey (Abella) Dillon of London and Annette Dillon of Sarnia. Also survived by his sister Edith Black of Vancouver and brother George (Alice) Dillon of Tecumseh, Pepe to grandchildren Melanie (Darnell) Lambert, Ron (Janet) Mogk, Christopher (Brenda) Mogk and Cameron Mogk – proud great grandfather to 6, brother in law to John (Rita) Drouillard,, sister-in-law of Laurette Drouillard and uncle to 23 nieces & nephews & their spouses. Predeceased by his beloved wife Lilly (Drouillard) Dillon 2000, daughter Christine Dillon 2006, brothers RCAF Flight Sergeant Jack Dillon 1943 and Frederick Dillon 2006. Son of the late Frederick and Olive (Vinton) Dillon, father-in-law E. J. Drouillard (1982). Also predeceased by brothers-in- law Alex 2000, Edmond 2012 (May) 2004 & Arsene Drouillard 1980, nephew Guy Black 2006 & Penny Drouillard 2003. Dad was born and raised in Tecumseh. He was an R. C. A. F. WWll Veteran. His careers included a pioneering fiberglass boat making business that he established – he also was a civil engineer whose projects included many landmark bridges, roads, and industrial plants in Sarnia & Lambton County, as well as a home building contractor, who also built two of his own homes. After retirement the “Turtle” became his work of love. He restored and customized the 38ft. trawler and enjoyed his time at Bridgeview marina. Dad was a man of many talents & interests. He passed on to his children his love for history, world politics, science and the world around us. He was a man of strong convictions who will also be remembered for his intellect, great sense of humour and commitment to his family. Cremation has taken place.
