Domestic disturbance leads to arrest of 21-year-old

Sarnia Police say they have arrested a 21-year-old man after being called to a Wellington Street domestic disturbance.

The accused was allegedly having an argument with his mother, then became involved in an argument with a second man when a physical altercation ensued.

Police say the accused grabbed a knife block, throwing it at the second man, then grabbing a stool and throwing it at the victim. He is then said to have chased the victim from the house.

The accused is also said to have flattened one of the tires on the victim’s car then picked up his own bicycle and threw it at the victim’s car and the victim himself.

The accused fled the scene on the bike and was arrested a short time later. He was being held pending a bail hearing and faces four counts of Assault with a Weapon, one count Assault, one count Uttering Threats, one count Weapons Dangerous and Mischief.
