Drug bust results in arrest in Point Edward

Sarnia Police involved in investigation and search of premises

A drug bust organized by Sarnia Police has resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old Point Edward resident after officers executed a search warrant in the Village in the early hours of Thursday (May 5).

Police say the arrest came as the result of an investigation involving a suspect “known to sell drugs in the Sarnia-Lambton area.”

Secondary to the search, police say officers located various quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana along with various forms of drug paraphernalia. The street value of the drugs seized was approximately $3,000 and several hundred dollars in cash was also seized.

The man arrested, who was held for a bail hearing, now faces numerous charges including 2 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine & cocaine), one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) and 3 counts of Breaching Probation.
