Enbridge Inc. has made donations totalling $15,000 to fire departments in Warwick and Watford.
The funds for each community—$7,500 each—will be used toward the purchase of emergency response vehicles.
The donations were made under the company’s Safe Community program, said Ken Hall, Enbridge senior public affairs advisor. In Warwick, the new emergency response vehicle will allow emergency workers to mobilize more efficiently and effectively. The Watford vehicle will be equipped with a rollout tray and scene lighting for use with fighting farm and brush fires.
Warwick Fire Chief Brad Goodhill was on hand to receive the donation earlier this month. Fire Chief Jim Hart, in a separate presentation, received the cheque on behalf of the Watford Fire Department.
