Enniskillen gets new councillor to fill spot vacated by Jim Burns

Enniskillen Township has a new councillor.

Christine Greydanus was elected Monday (jan. 23) in a special election to fill a position vacated by a former Lambton County warden and mayor of the local municipality. She defeated opponents Corey Mckinnon and Ken Dunlop,

The election became necessary on the departure of Jim Burns, who was hired as chief administrative officer of the Village of Point Edward.

Officials say about 25 percent of Enniskillen voters turned out for the special election.
