For Sarnia and area residents finding home upkeep, maintenance and even meal planning and preparation beyond their comfort zone, there's at least one choice worth considering.
That's Fairwinds Lodge, located on Michigan Ave. just east of Murphy Road, says one of its newest team members, Kerry Belliveau.
Belliveau, who is well-known in the area as a photographer, joined the staff of BayBridge Seniors Housing as its community sales leader in late 2012.
Since taking the role, she's had the opportunity of essentially "re-introducing" the facility, which offers what she describes as a "gracious retirement living community."
With a variety of suites to choose from, including studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom, all include three meals a day (a Red Seal chef is on staff), weekly housekeeping, a small gym/workout area, library, and a variety of programs designed to create a genuine community feel.
Belliveau says Fairwinds Lodge residents represent the diversity of the Sarnia community.
"We have folks who are retired in the traditional sense, but there are also people here who still work; they just prefer the atmosphere here and the freedom and flexibility that goes with the Fairwinds Lodge lifestyle."
Belliveau is offering personalized tours of the facility, either on a drop-in basis or by calling (519) 542-8814.
