First Friday activities provide a welcome to 2019

Live music will provide background for another great event

The music group Me and Mr. Smith will be appearing at Cheeky Monkey during First Friday (Jan. 4).

Organizers of the renowned cultural walkabout known as First Friday have a full slate of activities planned for the event, which takes place this week (January 4).

Included at various downtown venues are live music, art exhibits and sales, with the kind of variety those who are familiar with First Friday have come to appreciate.

With 2019 providing a unique flavour to the event, this week should be extra special.

Check out this list of things to take in (with thanks to Mary Anne Peloza of Cheeky Monkey).

Keep in mind that parking on the street and in the lots is always FREE after 6 p.m. in the downtown.
