First RIDE program of season results in one arrest

The first RIDE–Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere–stop of the season (Sept. 18) resulted in one male driver being arrested and charged with Impaired Operation.

The 46-year-old Sarnia man will make his first court appearance on Oct. 30, 2012.

Some 120 vehicles were stopped in the RIDE operation, with five roadside tests conducted. One driver was issued a three-day suspension in addition to the arrest.
