The weather is finally starting to break and the snow is melting. Spring is on the way and March is right around the corner. There are plenty of great things to do this weekend in Sarnia-Lambton. Check out these great events and make sure to get outside and enjoy your community!

Sarnia Justice Film Festival’s Feb film: A Plastic Ocean

The Sarnia Justice Film Festival brings quality documentaries to Sarnia-Lambton area to educate and encourage residents. Each film is followed by a discussion period led by individuals who have interest and expertise in the subject. This Saturday, February 17 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., they will have a showing of the film A Plastic Ocean at the Sarnia Public Library. Live Music at The Pub

This Saturday, February 17th at 10 p.m. get your fill of live indie folk music at The Pub at 146 Christina St. S. Chad Cusak and Jake Giresi will be performing live. There will be beer specials as well. For more information, follow The Pub’s Facebook Page. Admission is Free.

Ice Fishing Derby

Bluewater Anglers’ Ice Fishing Derby is happening Saturday, February 17th from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. It is open to all and no fishing license if required. The entry fee is $5.00. Entry forms are available at The Outdoorsman and Buck’s Bait until 4:30 p.m., Friday 16th or at Sarnia Bay Marine Parking Lot Saturday, 7:30 to 9 a.m. Prizes will be awarded after the weigh-in closes at 11:00 AM. Draw prizes will be made from entrants 12 and under, and from entrants 13 and over. Winners must be present for the draws made at the close of the weigh-in. Yuk Yuk’s Live at the Corunna Legion

Get ready for a night of humour and fun at the Corunna Legion with Yuk Yuk’s on tour on Saturday, February 17th. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the performance starts at 9 p.m. The event contains mature content. Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door (max 200 tickets sold). Sunday Breakfast in Forest

This Sunday February 18th, enjoy a delicious breakfast at Forest Legion. The Legion will be offering all of the best love breakfast foods including: acon, sausage, made-order omelettes scrambled eggs, potatoes, pancakes, toast, dessert, juice, coffee and tea.
