The weekend is here again in Sarnia-Lambton. Unfortunately, we have to accept that the weather did not receive the memo that Spring is supposed to have arrived.  Don’t let this weather keep you inside! There are plenty of great things to do this weekend!

Gallery Art Show

This Friday April 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., head out to see a Mother/Daughter art show at The Lawrence House Centre for the Arts. ‘The Little Things/ Nature’s Best’ will feature paintings by Jean Poole and photography by her daughter, Gina Marie Photography. Listen to Live music

The Casuals will be playing First Friday at Cheeky Monkey on April 6. The six man musical group covers 60’s and 70’s songs to “put a smile on your face and get your feet tapping.” The event runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. That night the 38th Sarnia Pathfinders will be selling their traditional chocolate and vanilla Girl Guide Cookies in front of Cheeky Monkey from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Cookies are nut free and sell for $5.00 a box. Funds raised will support girls in local activities.

Visit the Ice Queen

On Saturday, April 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., take your kids to visit the Ice Queen one last time before Winter ends at the Winter themed Enchanted Castle. There will be a singalong to favorite Frozen songs, dancing and story time. Afterwards, each child will have a chance to meet the Queen for a magic sparkle ceremony and taking a  picture. The show portion lasts approximately 25 mins. Children under the age of 2 and guardians can enter for free. Please click HERE to purchase tickets. Dockside Season Opener

This Friday April 6th, join Dockside to celebrate their 7th season. Enjoy favorites and try something new. Justin Plet will be providing musical entertainment starting at 6 p.m. The doors open at 8 a.m and will be open late. It’s a sure sign of Spring!

Sarnia Home Show

This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Sarnia Home Show will be running at Clearwater Arena. The event connects people to the “information and products they require to transform where they live into the home they have always dreamed of – inside and out. Supplies and experts from around the world will be in the arena all weekend. They specialize in every aspect of the home including: siding, pain, law sprinkler systems, interior decor, lawn furniture, decks and so much more. The show also offers seminars on everything from cleaning to renovating and decorating. The event runs Friday, April 6 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday April 7th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday April 8th from 10 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5.00.
