The greatest kickoff to summer in Sarnia-Lambton is Artwalk weekend. With hundreds of vendors, artists, musicians and other performers lining the streets of downtown Sarnia, there is so much to explore at Artwalk 2018. So much so that to summarize it would not do it justice. Here is a LINK to all of the amazing things happening at this community event.
Optimist in Action Day
This Saturday, June 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., head out to Sarnia Lakeshore Optimist Club for the annual Optimist Action Day. Bring the whole family to enjoy free hotdogs, water, juice and cotton candy, inflatables for the kids to play on and rides on the fire truck. It promises to be a great day of fun. Gutsty Walk 2018
This Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. participate in Gutsy Walk, Canada’s largest fundraiser for Chron’s and Collitis. The walk, which takes place at over 60 locations across Canada will be held at Canatara Park- Beach Pavilion. The event had helped to raise over $35 million nationwide since 1996. Flora: A Juried Exhibition opens at Gallery in the Grove
This Sunday, June 3 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., join Gallery in the Grove for the opening reception and awards presentation for Flora. The event brings together artists from multiple mediums. The gallery received over 80 pieces of art submitted by 51 artists. Three jurors chose 50 pieces to be in the show. The shows runs from June 3 -23rd but if you attend the opening you can see which pieces have won the Juror’s Choice Grand Prize and the runner up as well as the People’s Choice award. Quilt Show: A Feast for the Eye
The Quilt show: A Fest for the Eye, presented by the Sarnia Quilters Guild will be held this weekend at Point Edward Arena. The Event will run Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost of entry is $6.00. There will be a boutique, cafe, community projects, Children’s programs, demos, appraisals and vendors.
