GEVAERT, Ann – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at Millennium Trail Manor, at 77 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Willy (2010). Loving mother of Gary Gevaert (Gabriella), Veva Caputo (late Joe, 2009), and Saskia Delano (Andy). Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey and Jonathon Gevaert (Robyn), Cassi (Chris) and Pamela Caputo, and Sarah Delano. Loving great-grandmother of Xavier and Jackson Gevaert. Also missed by many step-grandchildren and step- great-grandchildren. Survived by her siblings, Irene (late Omer) Danis, Paula (late Maurice) Danis, Frank (late Theresa) Kindt, Simone (Noel) Wydooghe, and Gilbert (Dina) Kindt. Predeceased by her parents Jules and Margaretha Kindt, her brother Andre and her sister Godlieve. Ann will be lovingly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada and Belgium. Ann will always be remembered for being the picture of perfection, looking beautiful every time she went out the door. Ann had a strong impact on all of the people in her life, especially those at Hospice Niagara and Millennium Trail Manor. Ann’s love for her family will undoubtedly remain strong, her caring nature living on in the hearts of her loved ones. The family would like to send a special Thank You to the staff at Millennium Trail Manor, Elgin Area for the care their mother received over the last two months, as well as her neighbours who went above and beyond over the years, and to Heather for being a constant and supportive friend, always there to help. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass which will be celebrated in the Parish Community of St. Kevin (303 Niagara St., Welland) on Friday February 9, 2018 at 10 am. Private family interment will take place at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery.
