Sarnia-Lambton’s new Member of Parliament is taking on the role of Opposition critic for Science.
Marilyn Gladu, a chemical engineer by profession, was elected October 19. The announcement of her appointment was made by Rona Ambrose, Interim Leader of the Conservative Party and Leader of the Opposition.
Bev Shipley, who was re-elected as MP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, will serve as the Conservatives’ Critic for Rural Affairs.
Gladu says she looks forward to her new role and to being “an effective member of such a dynamic team.”
Shipley said on Facebook that he looks forward “to the challenge of holding the government to account on the many issues which affect rural Canada.”
