Heat warning issued for Lambton County

Warning will remain in effect until Thursday

Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a Heat Warning for Lambton County. Hot, humid weather is expected to arrive in the area today (Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016).

The warning will remain in effect until Thursday.

A heat warning is issued when two consecutive days have a forecasted daytime high temperature greater than or equal to 31oC and a nighttime temperature greater than or equal to 20oC or a humidex greater than 40.

When temperatures and humidity are high, the body may not be able to cool properly leading to heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
