For hundreds of Sarnia-area seniors, it’s an annual celebration that’s most welcome indeed.
The Duc D’Orleans II set sale at 9 a.m. this morning and continued doing so every 90 minutes until 3 p.m.
The tradition was started by the late Peter Henderson, then a prominent broadcaster, along with the ship’s owners and the Mathers family.
This year, weather was kind to the passengers, all taken care of thanks to donations and the kindness of volunteers, including local firefighters.
Another great celebration and reason we love to call Sarnia-Lambton home!
