Jerry Morrow, well-known broadcaster, dies at 71

Jerry Morrow, whose career in local broadcasting spanned several decades, has died at 71.

Mr. Morrow passed away at Bluewater Health on Tuesday (Jan. 31). He is survived by his wife Carol as well as a daughter (Heather) and son (Jay). 

Mr. Morrow once worked at CHOK radio and as a frequent weekend reporter for the local bureau of CKCO. He also owned what was one of the first dollar stores in Sarnia, "Buck-A-Loonie" in Northgate Plaza East.

A funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 3 at St. John-in-the-Wilderness Anglican Church in Bright's Grove. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 2 between 2 and 4 p.m. and 7 and 9 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home as well as one hour before the 11 a.m. Friday funeral service in Bright's Grove.
