Lambton College looking for housing for incoming international students

Enrolment has more than doubled over the past five years

Lambton College’s International student population continues to grow, and with that has come the need to accommodate incoming students as they settle in the Sarnia area.

The College’s International Education department is currently seeking housing for International students who are scheduled to arrive in Sarnia between December 27 and January 26, 2018.

Sarnia is being recognized as a safe, friendly city that is welcoming to the global community who choose to call the area home.

International enrolment has been one of the College’s largest areas of growth in recent years, more than doubling over the past five years. Currently, there are 772 International students studying in Sarnia (up from 472 students over the same term in 2016). The majority of these students are arriving from India, Mexico, China, Brazil, and Jamaica.

In addition to accessing a world-class education at an affordable price, International students are also recognizing Sarnia as a safe, friendly city that is welcoming to the global community who choose to call the area home.

Members of the community who have rental opportunities available for students are encouraged to post vacancies on the Lambton College International Student Accommodations Facebook page.

While Lambton College holds no liability for agreements made between students and property owners and managers, representatives are available to discuss accommodation opportunities with members of the community. In addition to rental housing opportunities, other accommodation programs such as the popular Homestay services are available for those who might be interested.
