Prospective students still have the opportunity to attend Lambton College this fall.
On Wednesday, February 21, the school is hosting a Return to Learn session featuring services and information tailored toward adult learners who are interested in enrolling in a Lambton College program for September 2018. The drop-in style event will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the G Hall Lounge and guests who are still considering applying to a Lambton College program will have the opportunity to chat with representatives from a variety of services and consult with Enrolment Advisors about available programs.
Some highlights of the event that might be of interest to attendees include:
• Apply to Lambton College on-the-spot. Select spots are available in many programs for September 2018. The Enrolment team will be available to assist all guests with the application process during the event.
• Learn more about changes to the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) and find out if you qualify for free tuition. The latest updates have been designed to ensure that non-repayable grant funding exceeds tuition fees and also allows adult learners to qualify for more grants so they can go back to school to upgrade their skills.
• Representatives from Lambton College’s Academic Upgrading department will be available to assist students who might be missing college prerequisites. Academic Upgrading is a free service that allows students to upgrade their academic skills in order to meet college program admission requirements.
• Learn more about which programs still have availability. Limited spots are still available in a number of programs including Business – Accounting, Business Administration, Esthetician, General Arts & Science, Hairstylist, Liberal Studies, Pharmacy Technician, Photography, Police Foundations, Power Distribution & Control Technician, Protection, Investigation & Security, and Welding Techniques programs.
Those who can’t attend a Return to Learn information session can still connect with a member of the Lambton College Enrolment team for a one-on-one program advising session or a campus tour, either by calling (519) 541-2403 or emailing [email protected].
For those who are unable to attend an appointment on campus, the Enrolment Team is also able to accommodate off-campus appointments, such as at local coffee shops, or accept over-the-phone advising sessions.
