Lambton College scholarships total nearly $85k this year

Lambton College students received nearly $85,000 in scholarship money at the Annual Academic Awards luncheon earlier this month (Nov. 10).

The awards program, which was held at the Lambton INN, included five new awards this year—the Adam and May Senchuk Memorial Award, Dr. Linda Bowring – Sarnia Lambton Palliative Care Association Scholarship, TODA Advanced Materials Scholarship for Technology,  The Chris Dawson Frugal and Fabulous Fashion Business Award, and the Certified Management Accountants (CMA) Award.

Some 109 awards for a total of $84,825 was presented during the luncheon.

Organizers at the Lambton College Foundation say there is always room for more participants in the school's scholarship program. Those interested should contact Tracy Simpson.
