Listen to how one entrepreneurial leader is helping pave the way for others

Jasmyn Newton of the CUBE at Lambton College is serving as a powerful connector

Jasmyn Newton is arguably one of the most “connected” people in Sarnia-Lambton and Lambton Shield was delighted she agreed to sit down with Editor J.D. Booth for this episode of Spotlight.

One thing became very clear very quickly: Newton has boundless energy, much of it focused on helping cultivate a community of business builders in her role as Operations Coordinator at the Cube, an organization that was launched less than three years ago (September 2014) with the goal of inspiring entrepreneurship activities not only on campus but throughout the community.

Since then, the Cube has spawned an IT-focused branch (Cube IT), and Newton is among the most enthusiastic of a very small staff (just herself and an administrative assistant), with leadership through Jon Milos, director of Entrepreneurship at Lambton College.

In this discussion, Newton talked about her background and what keeps her enthused in her role.

It’s a level of enthusiasm that’s absolutely contagious!

Enjoy our conversation with Jasmyn Newton.
