PROFIT and Canadian Business have ranked a Sarnia-based entrepreneur, Cassandra Nordell of William Standen Co. on the 18th annual W100 list of Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs.
The announcement was made today (May 16, 2016) and published at PROFITguide.com.
The W100 ranks female entrepreneurs using a proprietary formula that considers the size, growth rate and profitability of the businesses they own and manage.
“The members of the 2016 W100 each possess the talent and tenacity to start and grow a successful business,” said James Cowan, Editor-in-chief of PROFIT and Canadian Business. “Their remarkable achievements serve as proof that ambitious, risk-taking female entrepreneurs are integral to the growth of the Canadian economy.”
William Standen Co. CEO Cassandra Nordell said she was humbled to be on the list. “This achievement is a reflection of our team’s dedication and unwavering desire to provide award-winning interiors and a world class experience to our clients.”
She said she wanted to thank her co-workers “from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to keep pushing forward, and for giving their all every single day.”
Nordell also thanked her business partner and husband, Patrick McLean. “Patrick is often behind the scenes triaging and taking care of operations and clients. Together, we are able to bring two different mindsets and strengths to our business, for which I am grateful.”
Nordell also said she was dedicating the achievement to “all of the women who have ever been told, ‘they can’t.'”
Full W100 editorial coverage will also appear in the June 2016 issue of Canadian Business and online at Chatelaine.com.
