Local police will participate in Saturday’s prescription drop off event

Prescription medicines can be delivered to police headquarters from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Sarnia Police are participating in the annual Prescription Drug Drop-Off Day scheduled for this Saturday, May 21, 2016.

The event is being coordinated with various national law enforcement partners, said a Sarnia Police spokesperson.

Officers will be on hand in front of Sarnia Police headquarters (555 N. Christina St.) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to receive prescription medication. The service is free, the idea being that medication that is not being used can be safely disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
