Tilray, the B.C.-based producer of medical grade cannabis that is taking over an Enniskillen Township facility currently growing peppers, is holding a “Town Hall” meeting at Enniskillen Township next Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017.

Company officials are expected to outline their plans for the takeover of an existing site operating as Enniskillen Pepper Co.

The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Enniskillen Township Building, located at 4465 Rokeby Line, Petrolia.

Tilray announced on August 17, 2017 that it had leased the 100-acre property, news that Enniskillen Township mayor Kevin Marriott said was very good news for the economy.

Kevin Marriott, mayor of Enniskillen Township, told Lambton Shield that Tilray’s expansion into the area is good news for the economy.

“This is by far one of the largest pieces of good news that we’ve had,” said Marriott. “I’m very happy to take the steps to make this endeavour a reality in the community. This diversification will help our community grow and prosper in this ever changing and challenging economy.”
