The County of Lambton's new Medical Director at Marshall Gowland Manor will be on the job in a couple of months. Dr. Melanie Crozier begins work December 1.
Dr. Crozier has been practicing Emergency Medicine at Bluewater Health for five years and will soon be taking on a Family Practice in the community. She also has experience working with palliative patients.
"We are thrilled to have someone of Dr. Crozier's calibre joining us," says Marshall Gowland Manor Resident Manager Marlene Jackson. "Her willingness not only to treat, but to teach will be an asset to our residents."
Dr. Crozier was trained at the University of Western Ontario in Anthropology and at Toronto University for both her Master's Degree in Forensic Anthropology and undergraduate Medicine. She completed her residency in Family Medicine and a fellowship in Emergency Medicine at Western, graduating in 2007.
Dr. Crozier will be replacing Dr. Aidan Canning who will remain on the job until December 1.
