Northern rugby teams take on Ursuline College

Monday afternoon, both seniors and juniors played rugby at Northern Collegiate.

Ursuline College travelled to Northern with both of the girls teams to have a couple of competitive games against Northern. Despite having a rainy morning, the weather was relatively nice for back to back rugby games.

The first game was for the senior teams. The UCC Lancers put up a good strong fight, winning the game with a score of 22-0. The girls triumphed in the game, making great passes and breakaways. Again the Northern Vikings learned a great deal for their rematch in 2 weeks. Northern will spend the next few practices, working together as a team to come up with a new strategy.

After a well played game by the senior teams, the juniors had a follow up game against the same team. Ursuline’s junior team also did very well, scoring over 20 points in their first half. Northern continues to play strong, learning their opponents tactics. With a great kick by Ursuline, the second half of the game began. Northern managed to score 1 try during the second half of the game.

It had been a great day for Ursuline College, winning both their senior and junior games. Congratulations Ursuline College!
