Peacefully at Bluewater Health on December 26, 2017 Lorraine Oost passed away peacefully at the age of 59. Loving wife of the late George Oost. Beloved mother of Janis-Lee Oost (Steve Latour) and Craig Henry Oost (Amanda Gardiner). Cherished grandmother of Jayden Gardiner and Jaxon Oost. Treasured daughter-in-law of Lammie Oost and sister-in-law to Ida Campbell (James) and Hilda Hoekstra. Beloved sister to Judy Hall, Michael Shellswell, Dany Tremblay, Paulette Krikken, Gale Turcotte and Randy Tremblay. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as many aunts and uncles and all of her friends. She is predeceased by her parents Roland and Shirley Tremblay (nee Shellswell), father-in-law Henry Oost, son-in-law Jim Orton and brother Roland Tremblay. Anyone who met Lorraine felt special from her warm smile and sense of humor and an ability to nickname anyone. She was fun, loving, patient, outspoken and was so strong and courageous during her life with ALS. A special thank you to the ALS Society, Dr. Shoesmith at University Hospital-ALS Clinic. Lorraine could not have stayed at home without the amazing staff from Bayshore and the March of Dimes including all of her personal support workers and Nurse Imelda Ancheta. The family would also like to thank the staff at the Mitton St. Shoppers Pharmacy, the occupational therapist from the CCAC and the wonderful staff on the Palliative Care Floor at Bluewater Health for their endless support.
