OPP urging motorists to lock their vehicles, hide valuables

In a message that deserves repeating, Lambton OPP are urging motorists to not only lock their vehicles but remove any items of value that may be of interest to thieves.

The warning comes after as residents of Point Edward reported as many as five unlocked vehicles were entered Tuesday evening (Jan. 17). Stolen were a wallet, GPS, Swiss Army knife and a utility knife. The wallet and its contents were later found in a neighbour's unlocked vehicle, said police.
