Optimist Club of Moore’s Operation Christmas Tree gets a couple of boosts

Contributions from St. Clair LP Power and Shell are key to ongoing success say organizers

Two significant contributions to the success of this year’s Operation Christmas Tree, an initiative of the Optimist Club of Moore, have helped to ensure ongoing success, say organizers.

One came in the form of a donation of $1,000 by employees at St. Clair LP Power, a natural gas-fired generator of electricity in the area.

Another contribution—in time, energy and effort—came from Shell Canada Corunna employees, who came out and helped with the sorting of donated food and the filling of hampers at Operation Christmas Tree.

Shell employees, pictured, from left, included Erin Hogan, manager, Learning Sarnia; John Spinozzi, reliability engineer; Lisa Bone, learning team lead; Macy Gauvin, senior administrative assistant; Olwen Gover, external relations manager; and Bryant Bird, external relations advisor—all from the Shell Manufacturing Centre.
