Police said murder suspect spent time in Sarnia recently

Sarnia Police said that Shawn Cameron Lamb, the 52-year-old former Sarnia man who is currently facing murder charges in Winnipeg, was in Sarnia from late May up to June 20.

The Criminal Investigations Branch of the Sarnia Police received the information earlier this week and was told he was allegedly here to seek out extended family in the community.

Lamb left Sarnia and returned to Winnipeg where he was arrested on June 21, 2012.

His involvement while in Sarnia is under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Branch, but police said at this time, there is no indication that he was engaged in any criminal activity.
