Popelier, Maurice ‘Moe,’ (Dec. 9, 2017)

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of a husband, father, popa and brother, Maurice “Moe” Popelier, at Bluewater Health, Sarnia on Saturday, December 9, 2017 in his 76 year. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Ann, his children Debra (Ray) Lewis, Sean (Cathie) Popelier, Brian (Tara) Popelier, his grandchildren Josh, Kaitlyn, Alicia and Alexandra and his sister Maureen (Don) Duquette. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, Dan, Kim, Renee, Somer, Carrie, Derek and Jordan, his grandchildren, Kim, Crystal, Dan, MacKenzie, Ryan, Erin, and great-grandchildren Katrina, Lylah, Madison, James, Jensen and Lincoln. Moe will be greatly missed by Betty’s sister, Mary-Jane (Wayne) Dennis and brother, Paul (Cathy) Dranchak. Predeceased by his parents Maurice and Maria Popelier. As Moe requested, there will be no funeral service but a private family memorial is being planned. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements through Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia (519) 882-0100. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the C.E.E. Hospital Foundation (www.ceehf.ca). Moe walked his own path, lived his beliefs and was truly one of a kind. His greatest treasure was his family. We are all a little less without him in our lives.
