Sarnia Christian School will collect canned goods during Kinsmen Christmas parade

Sarnia Christian School is once again encouraging residents to bring canned good and monetary donations to the Sarnia Kinsmen Christmas Parade of Lights. The parade will be on Christina Street on Saturday, December 1, and starts at 6:00 p.m.

The school’s big yellow bus is near the front of the parade, where students will request donations from parade goers. The cans and money will be immediately delivered to the Inn of the Good Shepherd, where they will unloaded and put to good use making a difference in the lives of thousands of individuals and families here in Sarnia-Lambton.

“We’re thrilled each year that the Sarnia Christian School does the food collection at the Santa Claus parade,” said Myles Vanni, Executive Director of the Inn of the Good Shepherd. “The parade raises food and monies that go to help more than 800 families in December make sure they have food for their table. It’s even more meaningful to see kids participating and learning how important it is to care for others and how they can have a real impact by being a good neighbour! A little act of kindness goes a long way!”

Please take this opportunity to share the blessings of the season with those who are in need in our community.
