The City of Sarnia now has “office hours” for several Councillors, with a published schedule that does not preclude individual members from making appointments outside that schedule.

An office on the second floor of City Hall has been set aside for the use of Councillors. The move follows a vote that approved a one-year trial of the concept that took place earlier this year.

A news release from City Manager Margaret Misek-Evans included a schedule with the following details for Councillors:

Councillor Andy Bruziewicz is available at the office on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call (519) 332-2639 or e-mail:

City Manager Misek-Evans said in her news release that all are welcome “to come in and talk with Councillors to share ideas, thoughts and concerns.”

The space set aside for the use of Councillors is described as a “spacious, open, informal setting” that allows Councillors’ “access to City staff and information through the City Manager’s office.”
