Sarnia Police continue investigation of break and enter activity in King/Oakdale/Hall area

Sarnia Police say they continue to investigate several break and enters in the areas of King Street, Oakdale Avenue and Hall Street after a resident on King Street awoke this morning to the sound of footsteps in the kitchen.

When the homeowner investigated, he saw flashlights and someone leaving the house through a back door. Cash and a computer laptop were stolen.

When police responded, a search of the area found items that appeared to have been taken from another break and enter in the area. These items were seized and taken to headquarters.  Police did become involved in a short foot chase involving two suspicious people in the 900 block of Colborne Road onto Ennisclaire Drive just before 6 a.m. but no one was found.
