Sarnia Police lay charges in connection with two separate crashes, one involving bike

A 22-year-old male cyclist riding his bike on St. Andrew St. was charged with not having a light on his bike and failing to stay to the right on a roadway after being hit by a 43-year-old driver Wednesday morning.

After the incident, which occurred shortly after 7 a.m., the cyclist was transported to hospital and released after treatment of his injuries.

Later in the day, Sarnia Police responded to a four-vehicle crash on Lambton Mall Road north of London Road. There were no injuries in the incident, which occurred just after 3 p.m.

A 74-year-old Sarnia man received a provincial offence notice for careless driving.
