Sarnia Police make arrests in connection with break and enter activity

Sarnia Police say they have arrested a 31-year-old Sarnia man and are looking for a 43-year-old man, also from Sarnia,  in connection with several break and enters that have occurred since November 2011.

Officers executed a search warrant on Monday (Jan. 30) just afte 3:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Davis Street, during which time police said they recovered stolen property that included assorted tools, compressors, propane tanks, and a large pile of cut-up rubber sheathing which had been removed from metal wire.

Police said the items recovered had come from commercial properties located on Confederation Street, london Line and McGregor Sideroad.

The two men are also believed to be responsible for a break in on Confederation Line where an airplane was removed from a storage facility and subsequently damaged.

Each of the men face four counts of break, enter and commit theft.  Police say the 31-year-old is facing additional charges of possession of Oxycodone and possession of Methamphetamine.
